My dad is one of the most rational people to ever step foot on this earth. Not a hyperbole. If I ever have a tough decision a) or b)? I go with Pa’s advice. But one thing about him that has always remained a mystery, is that Peter Lowe has never bought a C.D., downloaded iTunes, subscribed to Spotify, or purchased concert tickets. Dude is just not a music guy. Could’t love him more, but I’ve always been intrigued by the fact that he couldn’t care less about music. One time I asked him what he heard when he listened to the radio. He answered humorously, “Mostly Brittany Spears.”

But one car trip from Brunswick to Boston, he joked, “You know that the US steals all of its good music from across the pond? ” And god dammit, it’s hard to refute that. Especially at the time as a 14 year old, pre-pubescent guitar player. I mean, the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, Led Zeppelin – no rebuttle from the curly headed kid with the Fender Strat slung across his chest.
