Chayed Out, D-Man

Mr. Little Jeans

Maybe part of being an old dog is that you start liking the originals. I love a good remix. Probably more than the average person. I’m often the guy who shows someone a remix of a remix. But I do think that at a certain point it has to stop.

I’m not harping on the ‘modern state of music’ or pushing some agenda about ‘the good old days.’ I just think it’s important to keep in mind when you hear someone like Mr. Little Jeans.

Rescue Song (RAC Remix) was the first time I heard her holistic sound. And man, is she a force to be reckoned with. Her range is incredible. Take a listen below to hear the dark melancholy of The Suburbs and the sweet ecstasy of Oh Sailor.

*R.I.P. Nana. She was sharp as a tack and a true artist. Here’s to the originals.

  1. Omg that RAC remix was my first time hearing Little Jeans, too! SO GOOD. She opened for SOHN when I saw him and was the sweetest thing/super humble!
